ExerGizers insure reliability on our most fun things, such as classic cars, boats, motorcycles, and many other toys.  Having fun is much better than wasting a few hours because of a dead battery. Simply buying new batteries every season is expensive and requires extra recycling. ExerGizer technology is reliable, cost-saving, and environmentally friendly.

The ExerGizer PJR is a three-in-one product. It charges, exercises, and tests a battery, twice a day. It has a convenient display of LED’s on the front panel that can be read from a distance. Five of the LED’s display voltage, one is a continuous “red” after test failure, and the last LED flashes yellow during the test. There is an ON-OFF button and a MANUAL TEST button.  It is easy to read and use, even if it is on the floor or at a distance.

ExerGizer is not like the chargers you grew up with. It cannot boil out a battery because our charger cannot create the internal battery heat which results in boiling as a battery fails. The exercise feature pampers the battery with the type of constant attention that keeps a battery vigorous for the life you should expect from it. It will tell you whether your battery is ready for a fun weekend or a trip to the recycler.

Every stored boat or car in storage should have it’s own ExerGizer.  Every ExerGizer should be sized to the battery it is preserving and testing. ExerGizers come in 6 and 12 volt models and are not switchable.  The exercise test is also matched to the size of the battery, a jet-ski and fishing boat cannot share the same ExerGizer.  They connected to the boat battery during storage and not necessary to connect as long as the boat is occasionally used.

Here’s how it works:

It has timers, a voltage monitor with an alarm, and resistors to simulate the duty placed on the battery from starting the motor. We do not call this a load test because, to most people familiar with battery testing, load tests are minimum of 3 times more duty than simply starting a motor. Some load tests will last for hours and draw the battery down significantly and reduce the battery life.  We call our test an exercise test as we are simply giving the battery the same duty as starting the motor. A timer closes an electrical switch that connects the battery to electrical resistance for 18 seconds. The resistors are sized to match to the watt-seconds of a normal motor start.

The rugged steel case and rugged internal construction makes a product that will last for decades. They are reasonably priced and ready for immediate shipment. We take all major credit cards and your phone calls during business hours.  Or, e-mail us with a convenient time to call you.
